The eagle avatar is a play on thee and me and life on the planet - on the edge and in between many spaces, especially in First Nations myth - earth and heaven, land and sea, truth bearer and yet a very practical, efficient worldly creature, family-oriented and yet somewhat alone in the sky - far-seeing, with a wide perspective - and a predator ….

My purpose here is to clarify thoughts, activate work, and initiate action on forward-looking matters which seem important to my family and our planet, and to collaborate with you, dear readers, who wish to write and play too.

As I am sure is true for you, my mentors are a great inspiration to me, both those who are close and who are far away, mostly those who are plus but sometimes those who are minus. My best teachers are those who are the clearest reflection - my greatest is always my dear son.

I also want to especially mention my Ki and Aikido teachers - in Vancouver, Portland, and Tohei Sensei in Japan. Tohei Sensei’s words say best what my real purpose, and perhaps what our common purpose, is.
